The Touessrok kitchen team won first prize for its main course and third prize for its table presentation on the occasion of the Chef Challenge 2012 competition which was held on the 20 October at the Sir Gaëtan Duval hospitality school in Ebène.
Bartenders from Le Touessrok and Long Beach Mauritius, Sun Resorts group sister hotels, took a 5 week training course that was led by John Collingwood, a well-known teacher in the hotelier industry. The cocktail guru is also a Drinks Consultant who shares his knowledge with hotels and resorts all around the world.
Le Touessrok hotel recently welcomed big names from the culinary world, on this occasion, the chefs were in Mauritius for a cookery competition organised by the MCA (Mauritius Chefs Association) and for a congress in Africa and the Middle East for the World Association of Chefs.
